About Us

Our Story
Our vision for this playground comes from our little miracle grandchild, Callahan James Smith, born in April 2021. Despite a combination of failures in the healthcare system, God was with us. Through His mercy and grace, along with many advances in medical technology, a great medical team, and awesome parents, he survived and is now thriving! We have a beautiful, complete, child of God that is happy, healthy, and is already making a difference in the world. Cal's smiles and laughter are contagious. He is a blessing to those that know him. His journey caused us to see at a deeper level how unique and special these kids are, as well as their amazing parents, families, doctors, and staff. As we wondered how we could help, God put it on our hearts to build a playground to serve the entire community. When all phases are complete, this will be one of the most inclusive playgrounds in the country. These families deserve our best.
Kindly,
Bryan and Paige White

About Us
Cal's Pals is a 501c3 whose mission is to welcome, value, and support families with disabilities in our community.
Our initial project is to raise funds for an inclusive playground in Lindale, Texas that allows kids of all abilities and ages to play together. Phase 1 will include a wheelchair swing and a wheelchair accessible merry go round, as well as ziplines, swings, and see-saws equipped with harnesses. All of these inclusive pieces of equipment allow kids to play side by side with able-bodied siblings and friends

Why Donate
We know many of you have been impacted by families with special needs. We ask that you honor them by finally creating a playground where friendships grow, self-confidence builds, and self-worth is discovered.
